REASI, Jan 11: Foundation stone for the construction of Kanjli to Chhappanu Road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, PMGSY was laid by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament Jammu – Reasi, along with Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA SMVD Assembly Constituency, and Saraf Singh Nag, DDC Chairman Reasi, DDC Nirmala Devi, Rohit Dubey District President BJP Reasi
This Kanjli to Chhappanu Road project will cover a stretch of 4.5 kilometers and is estimated to cost around 9 crores.
While addressing the gathering, Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized that this road was the long-pending demand of the people in this area and today, with the commencement of its construction, the vision of the BJP Government is being realized. “The fulfillment of this project is a direct reflection of the Central Government’s commitment to the development of rural areas,” he said.
Jugal Kishore further stated that the people of the area should take this project as their own and actively monitor its progress to ensure its timely and successful completion. “The development of this road will significantly enhance connectivity and foster economic growth, and the responsibility now lies with the locals to oversee its execution,” he added.
In addition to the Kanjli to Chhappanu Road, the leaders also inaugurated the Symbal Choa to Kanjli Chapanou Road under PMGSY, a vital infrastructure project spanning 10.50 kilometers, with a project cost of approximately 13.85 crores. This road will further improve connectivity and facilitate easier access to local markets and especially to Dera Baba Shrine, a religious and pious place. Both projects are part of the ongoing efforts to enhance rural connectivity and infrastructure under the PMGSY.
Executive Engineer PMGSY Kewal Saini, AEE PMGSY Rakesh Gupta, Senior leader of BJP and Gen Secy Advocate Pawan Dev Singh, Ramesh Sharma, DVP Prabhat Singh, Kissan Morcha’s Sudershan Singh, Mandal President Bhuri Singh Nag, Sohan Lal, Krishan Malabaar, Chaman Bhagat, Sukhdev Singh, Sham Lal, Kuldeep Singh, Raman Singh, Bittu, Ravi, Ex -Sarpanches Panches and large number of local residents, party workers, and others were also present on the occasion.
