Sir,
Once again, battle of supremacy has began between judiciary and executive. Since the former got powers from the constitution framers and reserve the right to bring any change in it while latter got the powers from grassroots of democracy i.e people and reserve the right to bring valid change in constitution. There should be no question of supremacy between them as they are made to operate side by side and bring more accountability and transparency in functioning of democracy rather than making one of them more influential which is against the basic structure of our constitution. Both must respect each other areas of jurisdiction and work independently, yet work together for making democracy function better. Scrapping of NJAC is good or bad depends upon the changes that will be made in the existing collegium system. The standoff between the two needs to be avoided at all costs.
