NEW DELHI, Aug 29:
The Supreme Court today issued notices to the Administrative Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court, MP High Court Registrar and Supreme Court Secretary General on a petition filed by former Additional District Session Judge, Gwalior in a sexual harassment case.
A bench comprising Justice J S Khehar and Arun Mishra also stayed further probing by Madhya Pradesh High Court inquiry panel till further orders.
The petitioner had prayed to the apex court to change the probe panel constituted by MP High Court Chief Justice A M Khanvilekar to inquire into the allegation made by woman judge against the administrative judge of Gwalior bench of High Court. According to her the Judge was pressing her to visit his bungalow alone and to perform dance on an item song. She had resigned from her post following her transfer to Sidhi.
She has also urged the apex court to reinstate her as Additional District Judge Gwalior.
She has also contended the the probe panel should be changed and the inquiry should be conducted under the supervision of the Supreme Court as the panel of MP High Court is biased against her. (UNI)
