JU students protest against fee hike

JAMMU, Feb 4: Protesting against recent hike in fee by Jammu University, several students today boycotted their classes and staged dharna at the campus.
They raised slogans against the JU authorities and demanded immediate roll back of the fee hike. They were also demanding students union elections in JU.
After boycotting their classes, the protesting students assembled in front of the office of Dean Students Welfare and staged a dharna there. Afterwards, they moved towards the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat and protested there also in support of their demands.
The protesting students were addressed by Anil Sharma, Hemanshu, Naseeb Ali, Manik M S Bhatti, Verinder Thakur and others.
