JAMMU, Aug 30: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association members led by their president R L Kaith, met the Registrar Professor Manoj Kumar Dhar and apprised him of the problems being faced the varsity SC/ST employees.
Members mentioned to the Registrar that the reservation roster meant for SC/STs has never been maintained in a running account by the Administration Branch in direct recruitment and promotion and also, no representation has ever been provided to SC/STs in the University competent bodies like University Council, Syndicate, Academic Council, Establishment Committee and Selection Committees, despite repeated instructions of the UGC.
The Registrar listened the members patiently and asked Mr Kaith to give in writing a detailed list of grievances whatsoever of the varsity SC/STs and assured to redress the same very shortly.
Those who met the Registrar included Surinder Kumar Shavotra, Surjeet Singh Heer, Om Parkash, B R Angral, Des Raj Nandan, Sukhdev Bhagat, Kunj Lal, Mulh Raj and Manoj Kumar.
