JU organizes programme on Blockchain Technology

JAMMU, Jan 23: The Department of Lifelong Learning and Department of Computer Sciences and IT, University of Jammu, today organized an awareness programme on “Development of Blockchain Technology”, here today.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar, JU and Director, Directorate of Quality Assurance, JU was chief guest on the occasion.  Sunny Mattoo, Chapter Leader, Government Blockchain Association was the resource person of the programme.
Prof Vinod Sharma, HoD Computer Sciences and IT, hoped that the students would learn a lot about Blockchain Technology from this session in this era of technological advances.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam said the students would learn a lot about this new technology which would be quite useful for them in future.
Sunny Mattoo said blockchain is an undeniably ingenious invention – the brainchild of a person or group of people. By allowing digital information to be distributed but not copied, blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet, he added.
Dr Kavita Suri, Director DLL presented a formal vote of thanks.
