Anganwari workers, helpers to resume strike

JAMMU, Jan 23: Anganwari workers and helpers of the State will resume their suspended strike from February 1.
This was decided during a meeting of Anganwari Workers and Helpers’ Union (AWHU), which was held here today under the leadership of Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State president, J&K National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) to decide the future course of agitation of Anagnwari workers and helpers.
The AWHU Kashmir headed by Tasleema Subhan, Famida Akhter and Rafiqa Khanum also participated in the meeting and declared that they have joined JKNTUF and hence forth they will work under the banner and the leadership of this organization.
In the meeting, the State executive body decided to resume the suspended agitation from February 1. It was decided that the Anganwari workers and helpers of Jammu province will assemble in MAM stadium, Jammu and hold massive rally whereas Anganwari workers and helpers of Kashmir division will assembled at Press Enclave Srinagar and hold the rally.
