JAMMU, Nov 19: University of Jammu has been selected for establishing Institution Innovation Council (IIC).
The launch of the IIC will be done by Prakash Javadakar, Union Minister, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, at New Delhi on November 21 where the University of Jammu will be awarded the certificate of Institution Innovation Council (IIC).
Ever since the joining of Prof Manoj Dhar as new Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu had been envisaging to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, start-up supporting mechanism in the university, establish functional ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas and develop better cognitive ability for students/scholars.
The university was pursuing with MHRD for recognizing JU’s pursuit in creation of Business Incubation & Innovation Centre, Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Cell and Industry Academia interface.
