JAMMU, Aug 28: The Business School, University of Jammu, today culminated the one-week induction programme, held for its 38th batch of MBA (2023-25).
The purpose of the programme was to familiarize new students with the department and nurture their holistic development. The programme started with the formal welcome address by Prof Vinay Chauhan, Director, The Business School, who presented the departmental report and highlighted the various milestones achieved by TBS over the period of time.
Professor Ashok Aima, Distinguished Chair Professor, School of Management, MIET Jammu and former Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, was the chief guest for the occasion. While interacting with the students, he emphasized upon the importance of knowledge over degrees. He exhorted the students to get in sync with national and global environment and become renowned celebrities of the world. He also threw light on mega trends such as global offshoring, digitalization and energy driven sectors.
Sunit Kumar Gupta, GM, J&K Bank, was the guest of honour for the occasion. He highlighted importance of MBA programme and its applicability in the current scenario. He also talked about the association of the university with the J&K Bank and announced various endeavors J&K Bank is going to take in partnership with TBS,JU in the near future.
While presiding over the event, Prof Versha Mehta, Dean Faculty of Business Studies, advised students to imbibe the virtues like persistence and meticulous. She focused on the significance of being showing impactful presentence and visibility in today’s competitive era.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Professor TBS & Director, Directorate of Distance and Online Education (DD&OE), gave the concluding remarks for the occasion. She congratulated the whole TBS for successfully organizing the event. She advised the students to have a larger prosperity and have professional approach in one’s life.
Dr Komal Nagar, Associate Professor, The Business School, presented vote of thanks for the occasion. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members of The Business School. Dr Farah Choudhary and Dr Shelleka Gupta, Assistant Professors, The Business School, were the coordinators of the induction programme.
