JTN seeks special attention of Govt towards Ladakh region

NEW DELHI, June 26: Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Member of Parliament of Ladakh Constituency, in his median speech in Lok Sabha on the Motion of Thanks on President’s Address, applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Government for their special attention toward Ladakh in last tenure of NDA Government for touching the every fields of developments.
He also highlighted various issues and projects pertaining to Ladakh that need to be done on priority as this region shares long international broader with both Pakistan and China besides being one of far-flung remote districts in the country, areas of which usually remain cut off from the District Head Quarter. “Even in case of medical emergency, it may take 2 to 3 days to get the patient hospitalized and hence allocation of various road projects under different schemes should be done on priority,” he added.

He further said that students of Ladakh region had no option other to travel hundreds of kilometers to different cities for higher and modern education and hence some of the parent do not send their offspring due to economic conditions but granting of Ladakh University by the Governor has provided an opportunity to every Ladakhi to get higher education.
The MP also drew attention towards patriotism of people of Ladakh, who never failed to serve to the nation during the war with Pakistan in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999 and 1962 Indo-China war.
He thanked the people of Ladakh region for giving him the opportunity to represent them in the House of Lok Sabha by electing him with a record margin and thus providing the golden opportunity to serve his region Ladakh as well as the Nation.
