JTC warns forces inimical to Pandits’ interests

JAMMU, July 23: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) has warned those forces opposing settlement of displaced Pandits at a single place in Kashmir Valley and said that Pandits being the aborigines of Kashmir can stay any where in the Valley at their will.
The JTC, which held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita demanded that the Pandits be paid compensation for the losses suffered by them in shape of their property and business over the years.
It said that Government has failed to settle the Pandits at a single place in Valley and the community has suffered immensely due to wrong polices of both State and Central Governments over the years.
The meeting reiterated its demand of compensation to over-aged youth, traders, agriculturists and orchardists with implementation of PM’s employment package and more 3000 jobs in addition to it besides 1000 class four posts for those community youth who could not go for higher studies due to the poverty.
