JTC, SKF discuss migrants problems

JAMMU, Aug 23: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here, today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC/SKF (J&K).
During the course of meeting various issues relating to Kashmiri Pandit migrants were discussed in detail.
While addressing the participants Shadi Lal Pandita has re-iterated his demand for implementation of Prime Minister’s employment package in letter and spirit by filling the remaining posts under this employment package at an earliest.
He said that the Government had assured construction of additional 6000 residential flats in different districts of Kashmir province for providing suitable accommodation to the migrant employees serving in Valley. Pandita reiterated his demand regarding construction of additional quarters.
He said that thought the Government of India and State Government has time and again been requested for ensuring cash assistance relief of Rs. 6500/- for single soul relief holder family as well as Rs. 13000/- for two soul/three soul relief holder family as such families after having attained advanced age have developed multiple ailments for which they have to incur huge amount for their medical treatment which they are unable to manage with present meager financial assistance relief.
