JTC, SKF continue protest on 125th day

JAMMU, Feb 3: A meeting of Jagti tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held under the leadership of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita in which it was decided that due to failure of Government to address the long pending demands of the displaced Pandits, the activists of JTC and SKF will hold a one hour long sit in on National Highway near Power Station Jagti on February 7.
The meeting decided that the activists will take out a march from Lane No 7 of Jagti township to the National Highway at 11a.m. and will hold a peaceful protest sit- in on the National Highway so that the voice can reach the Government.
Addressing the protestors, Pandita urged the Government that safety and security should be provided to the peaceful protesters on the day so that no miscreant can harm the peaceful protesters. Pandita appealed to the Government that the traffic on that day be diverted from other route for one hour so that commuters will not face any problem.
He said today the JTC and SKF continued its protest Sit-in for 125 th day. Today a strong protest was held in Jagti township near Lane No 7 in which all the leaders and members of the organization participated. The protestors while reiterating their demands accused the Government of testing the patience of the displaced people by maintaining a stoic silence on their demands.
