JTC, SKF continue protest, highlight demands

JAMMU, Mar 5: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) continues its protest sit-in for 155th day today under the leadership of  Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC and SKF and convener  of PCC Migrant Cell J&K .
Addressing the protesters Pandita said that displaced people have been protesting for five months and five days now but the State and Central Governments have ignored the Kashmiri Pandits totally. He warned the State and Central Governments that the displaced people from Valley will intensify the agitation in case the monthly cash assistance of relief holders was not increased from Rs13, 000 to Rs 25,000 immediately. He demanded that the displaced Pandits be settled once for all in Valley in accordance to their geo-political aspirations.
Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president JTC and convener, Soan Kashmir Front said that a Government job should be given to those families which have no serving Government employee and 20,000 special job package be also announced for the displaced youth.
