JAMMU, Mar 11: A protest rally was held by Jagti Tenement Committee today which was attended by the office bearers and masses of Jagti migrant township.
The rally was lead by Shadi Lal Pandita, president of JTC . During the protest the participants raised slogans against NFSA saying the implementation of this Act has put the general masses to lot of sufferings in general and the migrants in particular.
Pandita appealed the Governor to ensure supply of ration to the migrant community at per previous scales without giving effect to NSFA as this has already put the migrants to lot of hardships.
A demand was made for ensuring supply of ration on the previous schedule regularly every month and enhancement in cash assistance relief to the tune of Rs.25,000/- per family per month.
