JAMMU, June 5: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) in a meeting today discussed various problems of the displaced Pandits in general and inmates of the township in particular.
As per a release the meeting reiterated the demand for implementation of PM’s employment package in letter and spirit by adjusting all waiting list candidates and creation of 500 class fourth posts for those KP youth who could not pursue the higher education due to certain reasons.
The meeting demanded restoration of power supply to Jagti township on the pattern of other areas of the state and enhancement of cash relief, settlement of community at a single township in Valley, besides the compensation to the losses suffered by it in last 23 years of turmoil.
The meeting was chaired by chairman of the Committee, B L Raina and among others it was addressed by its president S L Pandita.
Vice president of the Committee Vijay Kaul said the power supply was restored to some extent in the camp after a delegation of the JTC led by him took up the issue with Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Raman Bhalla recently. He while complimenting the Minister expressed the hope that Mr Bhalla will take personnel interest in settling the power problem in the township once for all.
