JTC discusses demands

JAMMU, July 8: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held in the Jagti camp today in which various problems of the camp inmates were discussed.
As per a release, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita president JTC. It expressed concern over 16 hour power cut in the camp and said that this has led to worries of camp inmates. The meeting warned that in case the situation does not improve and power supply was not made better immediately the camp inmates will resume the agitation.
The meeting alleged that the monthly cash relief of June 2013 was not disbursed till date and demanded that the same be paid immediately.
It also demanded implementation of PM’s employment package of 6000 jobs for displaced youth, payment of compensation for the losses suffered by Pandits due to terrorism, settlement of Pandits at a safe place in Valley and providing of basic amenities at Jagti camp.
