BISHNAH, July 8: The local issues like power, water, agriculture and irrigation were discussed during Block Congress Committee meeting held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Capt Harshverdhan while former minister and senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak was the chief guest. The meeting was largely attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, party workers and several prominent persons of the area. The Sarpanchs and party works projected the problems of the people which pertained to drinking water, electricity, irrigation and agriculture etc. They urged Charak to take up these issues with the concerned authorities.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Charak asked the BCC members and party workers to maintain discipline, dedication and co-ordination within the party and cautioned them to remain vigilant against the divisive forces. He asked the workers to reach out to the masses and project their issues. Mr Charak assured the gathering to take up their issues with the concerned officers. Prominent among others present in the meeting included Sarpanch Raghubir Singh, Dr Om Parkash Saini, S K Dingra, Dr Gurdass Ram, Dr Rao, Raj Kumari and Chaman Lal.
