JAMMU, Jan 16: Jai Shri Knight Rider Cricket Club (JSKRCC) Nagrota defeated Ramban XI Cricket Club in a close contest by a narrow margin of 7 runs in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Jai Shri Knight Rider Cricket Club Nagrota decided to bat first and scored a modest total of 102 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Rohit and Kesar contributed 18 and 16 runs to the total respectively. From Ramban XI, Pankaj took 3 wickets and Rajesh bagged 2 wickets.
While chasing the target, Ramban XI Cricket Club bundled out at 95 runs, thus lost the match by 7 runs. Masrar and Pankaj contributed 19 runs each. From JSKRCC Nagrota, Parvez was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets including a hat-trick. For his brilliant bowling display, Parvez was declared as man of the match.
