JPPF expresses concern over political stalemate in Govt formation

JAMMU, Jan 15: Jammu Province Peoples’ Forum (JPPF) has expressed concern over the political stalemate in Government formation even after the lapse of over three weeks with scant hope of early resolution.
Welcoming the imposition of Governor’s rule, Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj, president in presence of MS Katoch, working president said that the people have heaved a sigh of relief as right from the imposition of Model Code of Conduct for Parliamentary elections the State has virtually remained without Government and the people have suffered due to unprecedented floods followed by Pakistani rangers skirmishes in International Border and Ceasefire Line, and still are clamoring for relief in worst ever situation.
He said Governor rule is a temporary phase till suitable and viable Government is formed by the political stake holders and if the stalemate is not resolved due to their tough and adamant attitude based on their personal and self-centered agenda, public may have to go for another poll the possibility of which is increasing with every passing day.
He cautioned the political parties not to doubt the wisdom of the voters’ who used their franchise and are watching the formation of coalition, adding that the persistent adamancy on the coveted post of Chief Minister should be resolved amicably forgetting for good that Jammu province cannot have its Chief Minister.
He said, in case the re-elections are forced on the public they will definitely teach a lesson to the illogical contenders.
Mentioning about the Jammu, he further said that Jammu has already suffered a lot on every sphere on political empowerment, un-employment and development in every sector and time seems ripe to undo all such mistakes and blunders.
Regarding West Pak refugees settlement, the president appealed the Government of India to concede their demand without caring a fig for Kashmir centric forces for their anti-West Pak refugees’ stance.
