JPDCL collects over Rs 51 lakh revenue, disconnects illegal connections

JAMMU, Nov 18: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) here today started a drive to boost revenue realization and disconnect illegal connections.
A handout stated that the drive started on the directions of Hirdesh Kumar Singh, Commissioner Secretary PDD and Sudhir Gupta, Chief Engineer (Distribution).
During the drive revenue to the tune of about Rs 55 lakh was realized from different areas in Jammu.
JPDCL team of Electric Division-III headed by Vivek Gupta, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Electric Sub-Division Canal as well as Ashish Badyal, AEE, Electric Sub-Division-Janipur disconnected 360 power connections of Banquet Halls, BTS Sites, Crushers, Domestic as well as commercial connections.
This team collected a revenue of Rs. 11.35 lakh along with a penalty of Rs. 2.4 lakh from violators at Bhagwati Nagar, Talab Tillo, Bakshi Nagar, Barnai, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Kot Bhalwal and its adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, the team of Electric Sub Division-I (Distribution), JPDCL Gandhi Nagar leaded by Sardari Lal, Assistant Executive Engineer along with AE and concerned Feeder Managers under the direct supervision of P.D Singh, Executive Engineer conducted the drive at Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Sainik Colony, Narwal and its adjoining areas.
This team disconnected 32 power connections and realized a revenue of Rs. 14,62,392.
Still another team of Electric Sub Division-III, JPDCL, Shastri Nagar headed by Jagdeep Singh AEE, B.S Chib, AE and Balbir Kumar Bhagat AE along with Feeder Managers and Field Staff realized a revenue of Rs. 27.67 lakh.
