Job oriented courses for SC, OBC candidates demanded

JAMMU, May 15: All India Confederation of SC, ST and OBC Organisations has demanded various job oriented courses for SC and OBC candidates with sponsorship.
In a press conference here today R.K Kalsotra, J&K Confederation president said that they have also submitted a memorandum to Sheetal Nanda, Secretary Social Welfare Department in this regard.
He said that Tribal Affairs Department is taking a lot of initiatives and on the similar lines, the Confederation demanded programmes for SC and OBC candidates too who are generally deprived of the same because of social and economical conditions.
Kalsotra claimed that it is becoming more difficult for SC and OBC candidates to get proper education and training and they also lack representation in jobs across private and public sectors.
He hoped that in this regard Social Welfare Department will start a dedicated programme for SC and OBC people.
S.D Thappa, Ram Saran and Des Raj were also present on this occasion.
