JAMMU, Apr 13: Jagti Migrants Welfare Movement (JMWM) has expressed grave concern over delay in payment of relief for the month of March 2016 to displaced people from Valley.
In a statement issued here, today, the convener of the Movement, Sunil Pandita said that those migrants who are totally dependent on cash doles from Government are facing hardships in keeping their body and soul together due to non payment of relief. He said the people are unable to bear the expenses of their school going children especially paying their monthly fee or purchase uniforms and books as new academic session has started.
Pandita along with other members of the organisation including T K Dhar have sought immediate intervention of Lt. Governor and Chief Minister in the matter and appealed them to issue directives to concerned authorities to release the cash assistance immediately to relief holders.
