JAMMU, Apr 30: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today seized 18 kilograms of polythene bags and imposed Rs 5350 on defaulters.
The drive headed by Dr Mohammad Saleem Khan, Health Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation along with other field staff visited New Plot and Janipur areas and about 18 kilograms of polythene bags were seized. A fine of Rs 5,350 was imposed on the defaulters.
A joint drive launched by the teams of health officers and veterinary officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation inspected various milk shops and vendors in the Maheshpura, Shakti Nagar, Subash Nagar, Rajpura and Rehari areas.
About 40 quintals of milk was checked and Rs 16,000 was realized as fine from the defaulters.
