JAMMU, Apr 30: College Teachers Association today elected its executive body and office bearers during a meeting of the counselors from different colleges of Jammu province.
Prof M S Saini and Prof Hans Raj were elected unopposed for the post of general secretary and vice-president respectively while Prof Vishal Sharma was nominated as the joint treasurer.
Prof D S Manhas was nominated as vice-president (Male), Prof Satinder Kour as vice-president (female) and Prof Anil Ganjoo as organizing secretary. Prof Sunil Uppal and Prof Sujat were nominated as joint organizing secretaries, Prof Rakesh Jasrotia as publicity secretary while Prof P Bambroo and Prof Jagjit Singh are appointed as the joint publicity secretaries.
Prof Ranjot Singh, Prof Raj Singh Narania, Prof Ganjeet Singh, Prof Manohar Lal, Prof Lalit Gaind, Prof Vinod Bakshi, Prof Surinder Sharma, Prof Shamima Akhtar, Prof Surinder Singh and Prof Ashwani Khajuria were nominated as the joint secretaries while Prof Narayan Dutt was appointed as convener media cell with Prof Naveen Anand and Prof Banpreet Kour as the members.
According to CTA president Dr Sanjay Verma, an advisory committee and zonal bodies of the Association would be announced within days.
