JAMMU, Nov 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation today sealed an unauthorized commercial structure near Main Chowk Janipur, which was being constructed without permission.
On the instructions of Commissioner JMC and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff sealed unauthorized commercial structure being raised by Santosh Kour, wife of S Joginder Singh at Main Chowk Janipur, Opposite SBI Bank Jammu.
The action was taken under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as the said structures was constructed unauthorizedly and shutters were installed without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation, thus causing nuisance, traffic hazard in the vicinity and much inconvenience to the general public residing in the area who had complained against the same.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation has appealed the general public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial / residential approved from Jammu Municipal Corporation otherwise action as admissible under rules leading to demolition / sealing of the building will be taken.
