JAMMU, Aug 6: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) sealed two buildings.
The Enforcement staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of JMC while further continuing and intensifying the drive vigorously against the unauthorized construction, violations and encroachments undertook an extensive day long drive in Gandhi Nagar area.
The team sealed the premises of Sangeet Kapoor, wife of Baldev Kapoor at Plot No 31-A, Gandhi Nagar, who converted the building into commercial one and has committed the land use violation. The action has been taken under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
Meanwhile, the team also sealed the premises of Vijay Singh at Plot No 4 P (Pvt), Shastri Nagar, Jammu who has fixed the shutters in the existing building in violation of status quo order from the J&K Special Tribunal, Jammu. The action has been taken under the Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The drive was conducted with the help of police personnel from Police Station Gandhi Nagar and District Police Lines (DPL).
