JAMMU, Jan 22: On the instructions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (Administration), Enforcement staff of JMC here today sealed a structure at Channi Himmat.
A handout stated that the structure was being constructed by one Mohan Lal son of Garibu Dass resident of 22-P, Sector-3 and it was sealed under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as it was converted from stilt floor for parking to commercial purpose without JMC permission.
The handout also stated that the structure was also causing nuisance, traffic hazard and inconvenience to the general public of the area which has complained against the same.
JMC has appealed to the general public to refrain from illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial or residential approved from JMC otherwise action as admissible under rules leading to demolition or sealing of the building will be taken.
