JAMMU, Dec 12: Jammu Municipal Corporation today sealed a shop at Rehari Colony near Baby Caterer Jammu, which was raised by converting residential structure to commercial without permission of the authorities.
On the instructions of Commissioner JMC and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff sealed one shop of Subash Gupta of Rehari Colony, near Baby Caterer Jammu, for fixing iron shutter without obtaining proper permission from Jammu Municipal Corporation, under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The said structures was converted from residential to commercial without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation and causing nuisance, traffic hazard in the vicinity and much inconvenience to the general public residing in the area who had complained against the same.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation has appealed to the general public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial / residential approved from JMC for avoiding demolition / sealing of the building.
