JAMMU, May 5: To contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is putting its best efforts and special focus is put on sanitization of the entire city besides sanitizing various areas especially in micro containment zones on war footing basis.
A handout of JMC stated that daily sanitization is also conducted in all the residential and commercial areas of Jammu city under the overall supervision Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Health Officer.
It further stated that JMC shall continue the sanitization drive by covering every nook and corner of the city to stop the Corona spread.
Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC has appealed to the public at large to follow the guidelines being issued by the Government with regard to the pandemic in letter and spirit.
She asked the people to stay at home and avoid large gatherings at public places and make use of alcohol based hand sanitizers and masks as preventive measures to do away with this menace and to cooperate with JMC.
