JAMMU, Sept 27: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today checked around 300 quintals of milk in different areas and realized Rs 16,200 from the defaulters.
The Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr Zafar Iqbal along with field staff on the directions of Commissioner, JMC Kiran Wattal conducted a drive on the eve of Navratras at Sidhra, Tawi Vihar, Panjtirthi, Talab Khatikan, Kali Jani, Trikuta Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bakshi Nagar and Nai Basti.
During the drive Veterinary wing of JMC checked around 300 quintals of milk in these areas by different methods. The team realized fine to the tune of Rs 16,200 from the defaulters.
