JAMMU, Dec 2: Multifarious activities are been conducted by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) under Jan Abhiyan Campaign.
JMC is conducting these activities in the run-up to second phase of ‘My Town My Pride’ programme.
Today continuing the trend, a Nukkad Natak on ‘Say no to Plastic’ and a debate competition on ‘Nasha Mukht JK’ was organized by JMC at Government Girls Polytechnic College, Jammu.
Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav, ACR JMC Manisha, Secretary JMC Parvinder Kour, Principal of the College, Neelanjana Manwati, staff members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Commissioner JMC while speaking on the occasion stressed on the need to restrict use of plastic.
He asked the students to take part in constructive activities like sports and choose life not drugs.
“Government has taken a slew of measures to fight the menace of plastic and drugs but the cooperation of society especially youth is a must to bring the change,” the Commissioner maintained.
Principal of the College said that the College will set an example in implementing ‘Say no to Plastic’ in College campus.
