JMC launches Jammu Suraksha Yojna

JAMMU, June 20: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today launched Jammu Suraksha Yojna under which affordable home security solution will be provided to the residents of Jammu City.
The Yojna was launched here, today by Deputy Mayor, JMC advocate Purnima Sharma along with other officers or the civic body at a press conference here, today.

She said a proposal for providing affordable home security solutions to residents of Jammu was moved by the ITI Limited (A Government of India Undertaking). The proposal was placed before the General House in its meeting held on December 15, last year she added.
She said the proposal titled Jammu Surakssa Yojna was unanimously passed by the house and it is being jointly implemented by JMC and ITI Limited.
Purnima said any citizen and resident of Jammu city desirous of having their home security may approach ITI Limited through Sewa Kendras to be established by ITI Limited in different wards of JMC or their respective councillors. She said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed by Pankaj Magotra, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation with the firm.
ITI Limited is India’s first Public Sector Unit (PSU) established by Government of India as a departmental factory in 1948. It is a company incorporated and registered under the laws Government of India having its registered and corporate office at ITI Bhavan, Doorvaninagar, Bangalore.
As per the instant proposal, ITI Limited will provide the services and equipments to the citizens of Jammu city at a subsidized cost of Rs. 10,000/- plus applicable taxes on the monthly instalment of Rs. 500/- only.
