JAMMU, Oct 16: A team of enforcement staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed the premises of one Sunny Kumar at Sarwal Colony for converting a residential room into commercial shop in violation of the land use rule.
For violation of the Master Plan, the enforcement team demolished shops unauthorizedly raised by one Mohan Lal Sharma at Main Chowk, Janipur.
The JMC team also demolished a huge unfinished structure at Laxmipuram Chinore which was unauthorizedly raised.
The team further demolished a shop at Sector-3 in Channi Himmat raised by one Surinder Gupta unauthorizedly without JMC permission.
The drive against unauthorised structures was led by Prem Singh Chib, Assistant Commissioner (Rev) under the guidance of Pankaj Magotra, JMC Commissioner and Ashish Kumar Gupta, Joint Commissioner (Adm).
JMC authorities have appealed to the general public to refrain from illegal constructions and get building plans for commercial and residential purposes approved from JMC.
