JMC Councillor inaugurates lane-drain, tile works

JAMMU, Mar 12: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta inaugurated lane-drain and tiles work at Vinayak Bazar in Ward 19 at the cost of Rs. 25 lakh.
A handout stated that tiles of the area were in dilapidated condition since long and the locals there especially elders were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Gupta while speaking on the occasion appealed to the general public to come forward and co-operate JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation within Jammu city.
He urged upon the locals to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work, don’t throw debris, garbage, filth etc in drains, lanes and nallahs.
The JMC Councillor said, all should adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and a beautiful city.
Locals including Dalip Gupta, Ritish Arora, Tilak Raj, Rajesh Kahana, Kamal Kishore, Samirati, Chahat Gupta, Suraj Gupta, Shiv Kumar, Rita Dev, Menu Dev, Rupali Dogra and other were also present on the occasion.
