JAMMU, Dec 3: For making Jammu a Smart City, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) continuously putting efforts by way of holding meetings with the line departments as well as with stakeholders so that there can be more suggestions from them for preparing final draft of Jammu Smart City.
A meeting in this regard was held under the chairmanship of Dr Manmohan Singh, Commissioner, JMC.
During the course of meeting, threadbare discussion on final draft was held. The engaged consultants apprised all the participants about the progress of final draft which will be submitted to the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India by or before December 15.
About 5.40 lakh people are aware about the Jammu Smart City proposal and about 30,000 people are connected by way of Whatsapp and social media with it who are continuously sending their suggestions and comments on Whatsapp, website of JMC i.e. jmcjammu.org which includes Smart City Tab, Opinion Poll Form, Twitter and MyGov Page created by JMC. General public is requested to send their suggestions/comments/opinions on these so that their suggestions/comments can be into consideration while finalizing the final draft of Jammu Smart City proposal.
