JAMMU, Jan 14: To check the ongoing constructions, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Kiran Wattal along with Joint Commissioner and enforcement staff visited Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Marble Market, Transport Nagar, Fruit Mandi and Vegetable Mandi Narwal area, here today.
Mr Wattal sealed two buildings at Marble Market, while shuttering of two buildings was removed at Transport Nagar during the visit.
The Commissioner instructed the Khilafwarzi section to take cognizance of all such constructions which are being undertaken in violation of Master Plan and building permission so that all such violators are booked under law.
Meanwhile, the JMC has appealed the general public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions to avoid demolition or sealing.
