JAMMU, Dec 23: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Avny Lavasa carried out the inspection of ongoing stage-II commercial/residential construction works for which the permission was accorded by the Corporation.
Lavasa visited various areas including Akhnoor road, Muthi, Paloura, Akalpur and Bantalab area to verify that constructions being raised at site are as per approved building plan. The JMC Commissioner issued instruction to the Enforcement Staff to keep a strict vigil on all the ongoing constructions to avoid any violation.
She further stated that citizens should obtain proper permission from JMC before undertaking construction, as unauthorized/illegal construction shall lead to sealing/dismantling of the same because JMC shall not tolerate any violation in respect of Master Plan-2032 and added that JMC has introduced new Online Building Permission System which is citizen friendly and very easy way to obtain building permission at their door steps.
The Commissioner appealed the general public to avoid undertaking illegal constructions residential as well as commercial as JMC has made everything easy and smooth for undertaking constructions legally and citizens should follow the proper guidelines for the same.
During the inspection, Anil Raina, Chief Town Planner, JMC and other staff of Building Section also accompanied the Commissioner.
