JAMMU, Dec 5: The Jammu and Kashmir UT Employees United Front (JKUTEUF) today announced to organize district level protests in support of the demands of employees .
This was stated by Bhupinder Singh, Chairman of JKUTEUF, while addressing a press conference, here today.
He said that the Front had already given one month ultimatum to the Government for conceding the employee’s demands, which include regularization of NYCs, REK, REZ, MGNREGA employees, Home Guards, daily wagers , NHM employees, SFC employees casual labourers ,SPOs, Anganwari Workers and other temporary employees, restoration of Old Pension Scheme in favour of teacher fraternity and other employees of UT J&K appointed after 01.01.2010 and implementation of Pay Grade in favour of all employees of UT J&K at par with other UTs.
Bhupinder Singh alleged that the Government was not serious to resolve the issues of lakhs of employees of UT J&K as a result front will organize District level protest in favour of these demands.
“Keeping in view these demands, JKUTEUF has decided to hold District level protests which shall be followed by a mega rally in Srinagar as well as in Jammu,” he announced.
President of the Front, Asif Ali Bhat and General Secretary of the Front Davinder Singh alleged that the Government was playing with the sentiments of NYCs, REK, REZ, MGNREGA employees, Home Guards, daily wagers , NHM employees, SFC employees, casual labourers , SPOs, Anganwari Workers and other temporary employees as a result the families of these employees were suffering badly.
Vice President of the Front Kamla Sharma said that the demands of equal pay for equal work, implementation of pay grade are serious issue of the employees which the government needs to resolve at an earliest.
