JKTJAC holds monthly meeting, highlights issues of teachers

UDHAMPUR, July 3: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held here today under the leadership of District President Udhampur Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the executive members of JKTJAC and zonal presidents . While speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar appealed the Government to resolve the issue of inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits by favouring the case in the court. He also urged the Principal Secretary School Education to frame a comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme.
Lekh Raj appealed the Director School Education Jammu to regularise the left out ReTs and convert the regularised RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III so that they may get their salaries regularly. He also appealed Chief Education Officer Udhampur to release the Mid Day Meal dues of the teachers.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Sham Sharma, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria, Vipin Sharma, Ajaz Wani, Shamsher Singh, Vijay Sadhotra, Puma Chand, Rakesh Singh, Mohd Mustafa, Jai Prakash, Som Raj, Pardeep, Yash Paul, Mohd Saleem, Sudesh Kumar, Sudesh Balwal, Raj Narania, Deewakar Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma and Raj Kumar.
