KATHUA, Mar 19: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) held a meeting and discussed the problems being faced by the teaching community.
During the meeting, the speakers demanded release of salary grants of all teachers under SSA and payment of DA to teachers deputed for 10 days training under SSA in the month of March.
They also demanded issuance of free textbooks from class 1st to 8th on time and adjustment of the newly appointed teachers immediately.
The speakers asked the Director SSA and Commissioner Secretary Education to release the salary grants of the teachers at the earliest and also urged the concerned authorities to release the DA of teachers without further delay.
The speakers, who spoke were Puran Singh, Surjit Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Mohd Sadiq, Parveen Singh, Subash Sharma, Manohar Kumar, etc.
