JAMMU, Feb 24: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) called on Director School Education, Jammu, and apprised him of various demands and issues of the school teacher fraternity.
The deputation, led by Roop Lal and Jamait Ali Aga under the patronage of Ganesh Khajuria, demanded removal of pay anomalies of Masters and Clerks, inclusion of five years service of ReT and EVS for promotional and pensionary benefits, transfer policy for ReT teachers, early disposal of permission cases for higher studies, decentralization of powers for transfer of masters, filling up of all vacant posts of Principals, ZEOs, Headmasters etc, Senior teacher grade in favour of under-graduate teachers, lifting of ban on transfers in winter zone, adjustment of newly promoted Masters, Principals, Headmasters and Lecturers before beginning of the session, etc.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and ensured early redressal of the demands.
The deputation comprised of Satish Dutta, Surat Tofani, Bhagh Singh, Tilak Raj, Zulfikar Keen, Withal Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Akthar Hussain, Parvaiz Ahmed, Javede Iqbal, Dewan Singh, Mudasir Sheikh, Mohd Ashraf Thathri, Younis Sadikui, Mohan Lal, Nazakat Ali and Mohd Asif.
