JAMMU, Mar 21: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held today under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani,  State chairman and  Ganesh Khajuria,  State general secretary of the Forum, for  threadbare discussion about the issues of teaching community in general and progress made in demand of  scrapping of order no.66 dated: 16.02.2017 in particular.
While speaking, Ganesh Khajuria said that Govt order no 66- EDU of 2017 dated: 16.02.2017, has tried to divide the teaching community on the name of the Regular and Distance Mode, which is very unfortunate. The Government has put a question mark on the stature and working of their own universities, he added.
A Q Wani said that the Education Minister has assured to resolve this issues at earliest by scrapping this controversial order.
The meet also expressed regret a section of groups drawing line of division among unadjusted masters on the plea before Govt. that only those should be adjusted who obtained degrees before appointment as teacher.
“These types of selective and self centered small groups should not sabotage the overall  cause and unity of all left out Masters in particular and should rise above the personal  cases. These groups were either supporting anti teacher policies or remained mute  spectators over non- adjustment of these Masters for last 3 years and had never  remained a part of struggle for the cause,” the JKTF said.
