JAMMU, Aug 28: A delegation of central executive members of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary JKTF, called on Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Advisor to the Governor and apprised him of various burning issues pertaining to the teaching fraternity of Education Department.
The JKTF demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA and RMSA teachers, removal of pay anomaly of Master Grade, promotion of all cadres including Teachers to Masters, Masters to Headmasters and Lecturers as well as ZEOs and Principals to their next higher Posts by conducting the Special DPCs on priority basis, selection grade /Senior Teacher Grade in favour of Undergraduate teachers who are without any promotion avenues since 2005, regularization of all cadres including I/C Headmasters , I/C Lecturers , I/C ZEOs , I/C CEOs and I/C Joint Directors.
The JKTF also urged to extend and release full benefits of Charge allowances in favour of promoted Jr Assistants, Lab Assistants, Lib Assistants and the Teachers promoted from Lab Assistants, establishment of Teachers Welfare Funds for the Welfare of teaching fraternity and their dependent family members.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputation and issued on the spot directions to the Concerned Educational Authorities to work out the modalities to mitigate and resolve the burning issues of teaching fraternity at the earliest.
