UDHAMPUR, Sept 27: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) held a meeting at Basantgarh under the leadership of Zonal presidium of Dudu, Kewal Singh, UT President Bhupinder Singh and others for electing JKTA unit of Tehsil Basantgarh of Zone Dudu.
Pritam Chand was elected as Tehsil Chairman Basantgarh and Surat Singh as Sr Vice Chairman. Nasir Din was elected as Vice Chairman, Ifrad Jameel as President, Mohd Farooq as Sr Vice President, Jia Lal as Vice President, Sandeep Singh as General Secretary, Akhter Hussain as Secretary, Swarn Singh as Joint Secretary, Kewal Singh as Deputy Secretary, Ashok Kumar as Publicity Secretary, Mool Raj Sharma as Stage Secretary, Abdul Qayoom as organiser, Haqeekat Raj as coordinator, Pritam Singh as convenor, Sham Lal as Chief coordinator, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani as media analyst and Karpal Singh as cashier.
During the meeting, JKTA also elected its advisory committee and female wing for Tehsil Basantgarh includes. Abdul Rashid Khan, Manoj Kumar Sharma and Shashi Mohan are members of advisory committee and Uttama Kumari was elected as Chairman of female wing Tehsil Basantgarh.
Satya Devi was elected as Sr Vice Chairman, Suman Latta as Vice Chairman, Pooja Rani as President, Shamshed Begum as Vice President and Shama Sultan as General Secretary.
