JKSRTC bags 2 awards

JAMMU, Jan 30: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India and Association of State Road Transport Undertakings, New Delhi have adjudged Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation as winner for highest tyre performance for the year 2011-12 amongst the hill states of the country and for a special award for operating public transport under severe geographical conditions for the year, 2012-13.
In the 58th Annual Conference of State Transport Undertaking at Jodhpur on January 27, 2014, the Award was presented by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Government of India to Managing Director, JKSRTC J.S. Tandon in a special function held for the purpose.
On the receipt of the two awards, Minister for CA&PD Transport (Chairman SRTC), Ch. Mohammad Ramzan and Minister of State for Transport (Vice Chairman-SRTC), Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma. They hoped that the JKSRTC team would continue to work with same spirit in future as well to enable JKSRTC to rejuvenate and leap towards achieving further appreciable landmarks.
