JKSPA raises demands

JAMMU, May 5: J&K State Pensioners Association (JKSPA) president, Krishan Singh has urged upon the Government to release 2 per cent DA from January 1, 2025 on the pattern of Central Government pensioners and employees.
In a handout he also demanded merger of 50 per cent DA with the basic pension of pensioners.
Singh further demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance being paid to the pensioners from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 per month.
He hoped that the Chief Minister will consider these long pending demands of the State pensioners.
The JKSPA leader requested the Union Government to release the withheld DA instalments from January 2020 to ending June 2021.
He demanded that pensioners may be exempted from the annual Income Tax.
