JAMMU, Nov 27: Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Executive Chairman J&K SLSA has directed Chairperson of District Legal Services Authority Jammu (Principal District and Sessions Judge) to constitute core group headed by Judicial Officer to coordinate with District Administration for timely evacuation of fire victims to the temporary shelters camps (relief camps) opened in the affected areas.
The Chairperson of DLSA has also been asked to coordinate with the administration to ensure smooth distribution of relief materials to the victims, assess the damage caused to the life and property of the victims so that the cases for disbursement of relief are processed expeditiously by District Administration, open temporary Legal Aid Clinics in the relief camp manned by Para Legal Volunteers to hear the grievances of the victims and forward the same to the district administration for their redressal.
Chairman of DLSA Jammu has further been directed to submit the consolidated report to the State Authority for further course of action.
