JAMMU, Feb 11: Continuing its strike for the 12th consecutive day in support of the strike call given by All India AIDS Control Employees Association, the employees of J&K State AIDS Control Society (JKSACS) held a strong protest here at JKSACS Headquarter.
Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of the Association, Ritu Sharma, said the employees of Centrally sponsored schemes are rendering their service as per the instructions of Central Government as well as State Government but they are neither owned by State nor the Centre, which is quite disturbing, therefore they have decided to continue their strike till their demands are met with.
She appealed all the contractual employees of Centrally sponsored schemes to join hands and come on a single platform to fight for their rights.
A similar protest was also held at Press Colony, Srinagar by JKSACS Kashmir division.
Meanwhile a team of JKSACS employees left for Delhi to apprise Union Health Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, about their long pending demands and also extend support to their Delhi counterparts, who are already protesting there.
