SRINAGAR, Oct 22: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETT) elected its office bearers here today.
A large number of ReT teachers from all over the State participated in the election during which Farooq Ahmed Tantary from Srinagar was elected as chairman of the Forum unopposed whereas for Bhupinder Singh from Udhampur was elected as vice chairman. He got 119 votes.
Jahangir Alam Khan from Rajouri was declared elected as general secretary, as he bagged 156 votes. The elections were conducted peacefully by an 8-member election commission framed for the purpose.
Later, oath ceremony of the winning candidates was also held.
